OUR PROGRAMS
140 Legion
The 140 Sechelt Legion was founded in 1934, and has been providing services to the Sechelt, Wilson Creek and Halfmoon Bay communities for many years.
We provide funding for various Local community groups, Charities and people in need through fundraising with Meat Draws, 50/50 Draws, and our Remembrance Day Poppy Program.
We are grateful for your support.
Remembrance Day
On November 11th every year we remember the people who fought for our country by holding services at the Cenotaph on Cowrie street in Sechelt.
We lay Poppy wreaths to remember
the people who fought
to make Canada free and democratic.
Individuals and businesses can purchase wreaths from the Legion. Please enquire at the Legion for further information.
Community Connections
The 140 Legion works to help the people providing services connect with the people who need them. Our community is full of people who want to help their neighbours and friends.
The Legion has various volunteer opportunities for everyone wishing to make a difference in their community.
Come and connect with people in new ways!
SATURDAY WEEKLY MEAT (GIFT CARD) DRAWS
- The 140 Sechelt Legion has weekly Meat (Gift Card) Draws every Saturday.
- We have 24 draws in total every Saturday. There will be 17 – $15.00 IGA Gift Card Draws, 3 Breakfast Pack Draws consisting of Bacon, Eggs, Juice & Bread, 3 – $25.00 Legion Gift Card Draws, and our 50/50 Draw.
- The Meat (Gift Card) Draws ticket sales begin at 4:00pm. Draws start at 5:00pm and will end at 6:00pm at the latest.
- All the money raised goes to local Charities.

For every $20 spent in our Lounge you will accrue 5% or $1.00 into your Legion Super Bucks Account in our Point of Sale System. You will be able to redeem these Super Bucks in the Lounge for food or beverages. Legion Super Bucks have No Cash Value.

- Ordinary, Associate or Affiliate Membership Renewal is $62.00 for 1 year
- Seniors (65 & over) Membership Renewal is $52.00 for 1 year
